Into the Clear Blue Sky

The Path to Restoring Our Atmosphere

Whether through cutting-edge climate engineering technologies such as electric motorbikes, hydrogen-powered ships and fossil-free steel production, or natural solutions like rewilding peatlands, people all over the world are finding new ways to travel, feed themselves and power industry while safeguarding a liveable planet for future generations. In this book, climate scientist and chair of the Global Carbon Project, Rob Jackson, introduces us to the brilliant leaders and innovators behind some of the boldest climate solutions under development – including an Eritrean agricultural scientist, a Swedish CEO and a Brazilian hydrologist.

Climate change is here and we have more tools to combat it than ever before – by cutting emissions in inventive new ways that protect our health and livelihoods, and by repairing the damage we have caused. Into the Clear Blue Sky explores the practical changes that can make drastic improvements to the atmosphere within our lifetime. This visionary and transformative book is the call to action we need right now.
He argues persuasively… [Jackson’s] work on methane, the greenhouse gas that’s more potent but more shortlived than carbon dioxide, is nothing less than eye-opening
